Health data is fragmented by design

Patients leave trails of data across every provider they visit. No one sees the full picture — not even the patient.

⚠️ The Fragmentation Problem

  • Records scattered across dozens of providers, labs, and pharmacies with no connection
  • Duplicate tests, conflicting medications, missed diagnoses from incomplete history
  • Manual records requests take days or weeks during critical care windows
  • Compliance teams face audit trails spread across incompatible systems
  • Patients have zero visibility into who accessed their data or when

✦ The Toovna Solution

  • One unified, consent-driven record aggregating data from every care source
  • Real-time sync across hospitals, labs, pharmacies, and specialty providers
  • Patients grant or revoke access per-provider with one tap — no calls needed
  • Complete, tamper-evident audit trail meets every regulatory requirement
  • Providers see the complete clinical picture at the point of care

From enrollment to real-time access
in four steps

1

Patient Enrollment

Patient enrolls via invite code. Identity is verified and a secure, encrypted health record is created under their sole control.

2

Data Aggregation

Toovna pulls and syncs records from connected hospitals, labs, and pharmacies into a single, normalized patient record.

3

Consent Management

The patient controls exactly which providers can access which data. Consent is granted, limited, or revoked instantly.

4

Compliant Access

Approved providers access the patient's complete record in real time. Every view is logged, creating a full audit trail.

Purpose-built for every
stakeholder in the care chain

🏥

Healthcare Providers

Hospitals, clinics, and specialists who need a complete patient picture at the point of care — without chasing records from other systems.

  • Medication and allergy conflict alerts
  • Referral records arrive before the patient does
🛡️

Compliance Officers

Administrators and compliance teams who must demonstrate regulatory adherence to CMS, HHS, and state health authorities without manual effort.

  • Immutable, timestamped audit trail
  • 21st Century Cures Act reporting ready
  • Automated consent documentation
  • Real-time access anomaly alerts
👤

Patients

Individuals who want visibility into their own health data and control over exactly who can see it — no more opaque systems, no more surprise sharing.

  • One place to see your complete health record
  • Grant or revoke provider access instantly
  • View every access event in your audit log
  • Secure sharing for emergencies or travel

Built for the most regulated
environment in the world

Toovna was designed from day one to meet — and exceed — the requirements of HIPAA, the 21st Century Cures Act, and the CMS Interoperability Rule. Compliance isn't a feature we added later. It's the foundation.

🔄

Real-Time Data Sync

Records update automatically when any connected source pushes new data — lab results, new prescriptions, discharge notes, imaging reports.

✍️

Granular Consent Controls

Patients set consent at the provider, record type, and time-window level. Changes take effect instantly across the entire network.

📊

Compliance Reporting

One-click regulatory reports covering access logs, consent histories, and information-blocking compliance for CMS and state submissions.

🏗️

FHIR-Native Integration

HL7 FHIR R4 APIs let any EHR or health system connect without custom middleware. Plug into Epic, Cerner, or your existing stack.

📬

Secure Provider Messaging

HIPAA-compliant messaging between providers, with all communications threaded directly to the relevant patient record and consent event.

🌍

Cross-Border Ready

Designed for patients who receive care across state or national borders. Data follows the patient wherever they receive care.

Your health story.
Your rules. Always.

For the first time, you can see every piece of your health data in one place — and decide exactly who gets to see it. Not your insurance company. Not a hospital system. You.

👁️

See your complete health picture

Every lab result, prescription, visit note, and imaging report from every provider you've ever seen — in one place, in plain language.

🔐

You control every access decision

Your new cardiologist needs your history? You approve it. Your old GP? You can limit or revoke their access at any time with one tap.

🌍

Your record travels with you

Seeking care in another city, state, or country? Your complete, verified health record is available to any provider you authorize — no faxes, no delays.

Take control of your health record

Built differently — because the
old approach wasn't working

Most health data platforms are built for the provider's convenience. Toovna is the first infrastructure layer built around patient consent as the source of truth.

👤

Patient-controlled, not provider-controlled

In legacy EHR systems, providers own the data. In Toovna, the patient holds the consent key. Providers access what patients allow — nothing more.

Provider-owned data silos Patient-held consent keys
⚡

Real-time sync, not batch overnight

Traditional health information exchanges sync data in overnight batches. Toovna pushes updates the moment a source record changes — during the visit, not the next day.

Overnight batch sync Real-time data push
🏗️

Compliance built in, not bolted on

Most platforms add compliance as a reporting module. In Toovna, every interaction is logged and structured for regulatory reporting from the first line of code.

Compliance modules added later Compliance-first architecture
🌍

Cross-border by design, not by workaround

Most health records infrastructure is built for a single health system or state. Toovna was designed from the start for patients who cross borders to receive care.

Answers before you ask

Everything a compliance officer, provider CTO, or curious patient typically asks before their first demo.

No. Toovna is infrastructure that sits alongside your existing EHR — Epic, Cerner, or any HL7 FHIR-compatible system. It aggregates and connects data across systems; it doesn't replace the system of record your clinical staff already uses.
For health systems with a standard HL7 FHIR R4 interface, connection typically takes days, not months. For systems requiring custom integration work, our team scopes the effort in an initial technical call before any commitment is made.
Access is removed immediately for future requests. Records the provider already accessed remain in their own system per their retention policies — Toovna cannot retroactively delete data that was lawfully accessed. The revocation is logged with a timestamp and is included in your compliance audit trail.
Yes. Toovna's consent model and API design follow the ONC information-blocking provisions. Patient-requested access cannot be blocked by a provider through Toovna, and all access decisions are logged and auditable for regulatory review.
Data is stored encrypted at rest (AES-256) on SOC 2-compliant infrastructure. Toovna staff cannot read patient records — access follows the patient's consent model. Only the patient and their explicitly consented providers can view the record. All infrastructure is hosted within HIPAA-compliant environments.
Toovna is built for cross-border use. The platform is designed to support patients receiving care across state and national borders, with data sovereignty controls that adapt to the applicable regulatory environment. We're actively expanding international health system integrations — reach out to discuss your region.

Built differently.
For a reason.

Toovna isn't a portal or a PHR. It's patient-controlled health data infrastructure — a consent-native layer that connects the fragmented health record ecosystem.
